Our Mission

Ouachita Valley Federal Credit Union, a member owned financial cooperative dedicated to promoting the credit union philosophy, “Not for Profit, Not for Charity, but for Service” and committed to taking excellence “one step further” by providing quality service to ensure maximum member benefit, financial security and community involvement.

Our Statement

We work for you because you’re one of us!

Our History

With $35.00 and a dream, seven educators founded Ouachita Parish Teachers Federal Credit Union in 1955.  The dream became a reality at West Monroe High School in room 217.  It was their determination and giving spirit that brought us to where we are today!

With a name change, the addition of other employer groups and several mergers later, Ouachita Valley Federal Credit Union is now serving more than 22,000 members with a complete selection of financial services.  It also stands as one of the largest and strongest credit unions in Northeast Louisiana.

How did we do it?  Simple.  At Ouachita Valley, we “look out” for our members.  If there’s a way to offer a better rate, a lower fee or a better deal…we work to find it.  As a member-owned, cooperative credit union, that’s our job.  Whenever we help someone to help themselves financially, we fulfill our mission.  As we look to the future with pride and anticipation, we ask…………HOW MAY WE HELP YOU?

Ouachita Valley’s number one priority is to provide Total Quality Management!  We achieve this by delivering the highest level of member service possible!
